Position: Senior Systems Administrator Client: Financial Sector Location: Toronto (Hybrid) Duration: Six Months (Potential for extension) Language: English Background: Our financial sector client requires the services of a Senior Systems Administrator (Linux & Windows) to perform server upgrades, support day to day operations and assist with a lift & shift to AWS native IaaS. Qualifications: Strong knowledge of IT operations (patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, add/removals) in both AWS and on-premise Strong knowledge and proficiency in Linux Red Hat Server (v7/v8) Strong knowledge and proficiency in Windows Server Operating Systems Knowledge of AWS Cloud (VMC on AWS, EC2) Knowledge of Nutanix hyperconverged hardware is a nice to have Knowledge of networking across on-premise and cloud Working knowledge and experience on automation and scripting tools (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash) Expected Tasks: Server Upgrades Initiative: Linux Red Hat server upgrades (v7-> v8) and Windows Server Upgrades (Win2016 -> Win2019/Win2022) AWS VMC to AWS EC2 native Migration Initiative: Lift & shift to AWS native IaaS Operations: Support team on day-to-day operations, maintenance, troubleshooting.
