The Contract Analyst is responsible for evaluating, negotiating, and managing contractual agreements. This role involves assessing legal and financial aspects of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders to optimize contract terms and conditions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Contract Evaluation:
Prepare, administer, and efficiently close out contracts, managing change orders and amendments as necessary to ensure smooth contract management throughout all stages of the lifecycle.
Manage all commercial activities related to assigned contracts to ensure consistency with contract terms and conditions and mitigate potential risks effectively.
Develop and deliver comprehensive reports and metrics, including detailed spend evaluations, cost comparisons, and risk assessments, enabling well-informed business decisions.
Support contract compliance efforts and facilitate audits by engaging with auditors, providing necessary documentation, and addressing findings and recommendations promptly and effectively.

Negotiation Management:
Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms for the organization.
Employ effective communication and negotiation skills to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Optimize contractual conditions to enhance the company's financial and operational interests.

Optimizing Terms and Conditions:
Continuously assess and refine contract terms to align with organizational objectives.
Manage contract template support activities, including contract management, repository organization, project management, and playbook development to align with template changes.
Stay informed about industry trends, utilizing benchmarking and feedback for continuous improvement.
Ensure contracts remain adaptable and supportive of the company's evolving needs and goals.
Receive refer inquiries, and answer general questions for internal and external partners.
Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
~4-5 years of contract management experience with a university degree or related post-secondary education
~ Practical experience with contract development, including exposure to negotiating contract terms and conditions
~ Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills in English
~ Experienced in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power Point and Word
~ Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver a high-quality work product.
~ Proficiency in French is mandatory.
