We are currently seeking a Senior Process Specialist to join our Advanced Solutioning team. You will be working alongside our process, application, melt delivery and technology teams focused on developing the next level of Intelligent Molding System . Success will require applying a broad range of engineering skills, an innovative spirit, an instinctive vision for the future to find digital ways to maximize the ease of use of our system

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast industry, application and market trends to help establish product and technology roadmaps with the focus to embed AI and further develop our Advantage + Elite (A+E) offering
  • Architect for the Intelligent Molding System:
    leverage A+E data to model relationships between application, process and quality, self-optimization, leverage SOC and processing best practice to minimize operator intervention
  • Identify and adapt evolutions in key technologies to maintain the competitive advantage of Husky products
  • Data-driven scientific approach:
    First principles research, scientific relationships and numerical analyses to better interpret and predict poorly understood physical phenomena (causation vs. correlation)
  • Develop end-to-end solutions in collaborating with business development teams and our customers
  • Work closely with a team of cross-functional domain experts in A+E, Product Development and Validation teams to integrate innovations and new technologies into practical solutions
  • Technical lead for projects, managing project timelines, resources and budgets

Technical qualifications:

  • Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering Degree
  • 5-10+ years of experience in related industries
  • An in-depth understanding of injection molding concepts, system operation and behavior and an advanced knowledge of rheology and polymer properties relevant to processing.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into innovative solutions utilizing Husky`s technology suite
  • Expertise in data analysis and machine learning
  • Ability to use science and systematic methodologies as practical tools to find meaningful technical solutions for Husky’s product offering
  • Background in application and technology development as well as generating new IP

Personal qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and mentor team members
  • Work well in progressive team environment
  • Strong time and project management skills, and ability to delegate tasks and projects
