New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Solutions Architect to help our client with the design and delivery of digital health tools and platforms to support the ongoing evolution of a connected health system and digitally enabled health care.
Responsibilities:
This position will be part of a team that is responsible for:
- Development of a detailed IDAM and Data Access Strategy and Architecture deliverable
- Facilitation of specialty working groups with subject matter experts (i.e. Architects, Security Specialists, Program Leads) to support gathering of relevant current-state strategies, policies, standards, existing architecture (IDAM solutions, and integrated systems, integration points and technologies used, etc.) hosting requirements, targeted use cases, desired future state and/or outcomes to be documented in the Strategy deliverable
- Project artifacts (such as user flow diagrams, process models, conceptual architecture diagrams, etc.) in support of the Strategy
- Collaboration with the members of the health innovation team and other organizational programs/ departments to implement functional prototypes, proof-of-concepts or other non production technical implementations, as required, to validate and support development of the strategy; such as proving compatibility with existing health systems components, Identity Providers and Data Sources
- Collaboration with members of the health innovation team and other organizational programs/departments to develop an implementation roadmap to support execution of the Strategy
- Ongoing engagement with members of the health innovation team and other organizational programs/ departments, up to and including Senior Executive, in support of hand-off, reviews, demonstration and/or walkthrough of all deliverables, as appropriate, to ensure understanding and alignment
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead a diverse stakeholder group through complex discussion, build consensus, negotiate and document solutions and strategies; up to and including to a senior executive level audience
- Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment
- Experience delivering projects that align with relevant policies or legislation related sensitive health information, such as the BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the BC eHealth Act, the Federal Privacy Act, etc.
- Extensive knowledge, understanding and experience in the deployment and implementation of Identity and Access Management principles, best practices, standards, protocols and technologies, as well as advanced authorization use cases such as consent management and delegation; including but not limited to implementing with the following technologies:
- OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP
- User- Managed Access (UMA) 2.0
- Extensive knowledge, understanding and experience in the deployment and implementation of health-specific integration technologies, including but not limited to:
- Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR), Smart on FHIR, Health Level Seven (HL7) version 2 and 3
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud hosting environment technology (Microsoft Azure)
- Experience with projects using existing IDAM solutions and services, such as the BC Services Card, One Health ID, Azure Active Directory, BCeID, etc.
- Experience with emerging IDAM technologies, such as Digital Wallets and Digital (Verifiable) Credentials
