In addition to managing grant-related tasks, this position will also be responsible for contributing to the development and growth of sponsorship programs/other related initiatives within the organization.ResponsibilitiesGrant Management:· Oversee all aspects of grant management, ensuring compliance with ACCA grant requirements and guidelines.· Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of ACCA grant obligations, deadlines, and reporting requirements.· Collaborate with organizational departments to gather necessary data and information for grant reporting and compliance.· Prepare accurate and timely reports, narratives, and financial documentation for submission to ACCA and other grantors.· Monitor grant budgets and expenditures, ensuring proper allocation of funds and adherence to financial guidelines.· Proactively identify and address any potential issues or challenges related to grant fulfillment.· Provide updates to ACCA Board of Directors in quarterly board meetings.· Work with ACCA Operations to streamline communication between all grant contacts.· Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries regarding grant-related communications.Program Development:· Work closely with ACCA Board of Directors and Operations to identify new funding opportunities and potential sources (i.e. upcoming grants or sponsorship)· Assist in the development of program development relating to grants/sponsorship and compiling necessary documentation.· Research and analyze trends in funding and program development within the not-for profit sector.· Participate in meetings and discussions to contribute insights and recommendations for program enhancement and expansion.· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align future funding with organizational goals and priorities.· Support the implementation of new programs and initiatives funded through grants, sponsorships or donations ensuring alignment with any objectives and deliverables.Qualifications:· Must reside in Toronto or Greater Toronto, Ontario Area.· Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the Afro Canadian Contractors Association.· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant management, program development, or a related role within the nonprofit sector (such as grant, sponsorship or fundraising management, public administration, or a related field).· Proven track record of successfully managing grants and meeting grant obligations, particularly with government or major institutional funders.· Strong understanding of grant compliance requirements, financial reporting, and budget management.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.· Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software (experience with Procore, Bluebeam is a plus).· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with internal and external partners.· Demonstrated commitment to community service and social impact.· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.· Previous experience or familiarity with not-for-profit governance is an asset (preferred but not required).
