We are transforming mental health and wellness practice for individuals, communities, and organizations through programs and services that are rooted in innovation, inclusion and collaboration. We are here to help people. Working closely with the CEO, the Community Partnerships portfolio is seen as an opportunity to build program capacity, growth and expansion to reach and help more people and families concerned about, living with, or recovering from mental illness and/or substance concerns. The Senior Manager, Community Partnerships manages the corporate engagement program and third-party events on behalf of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver-Fraser. This includes operating the full fundraising cycle in this portfolio, from planning to prospect identification, case and campaign development to solicitation, stewardship and evaluation. Fundraising streams in this portfolio include corporate sponsorship, the BMO Vancouver Marathon, and annual golf tournaments, etc.
Community Partnerships is one part of the agency’s diverse fundraising program, therefore the Senior Manager will be working as part of team with both internal team members and external contractors who manage annual campaigns, major gift fundraising and grant writing. In addition, the Senior Manager, Community Partnerships will work closely with team members to support effective communications and volunteer recruitment for relevant events and activities. Plan and implement the annual corporate partnership program including:
o Establishing asset valuation for programs and initiatives;
o Developing corporate partnership materials (i.e. case for support);
o Developing and managing relationships with corporate and community partners;
o Working against targets to negotiate and secure corporate and community commitments;
o Develops and manages third party campaign fundraising activities on Canada Helps and EventBrite platforms;
• Identifies community and corporate groups as potential third-party event organizers;
• Manage relationships with third party event organizers;
• Manage the promotion of third-party events to support registration and participant recruitment;
• Manage support for participant or peer-to-peer fundraising including developing and implementing incentive programs;
• Manages relationships with corporate partners and community event partners;
• Budget Management
• Develops and manages the budgets for third party events and corporate partnership program including both revenue projections, actuals, and expenses.
Prepare reports for community partners and/or funders;
• Ensure fundraising activities and related data are updated in Salesforce;
• Completes First Aid, Non-Violent Intervention Training, Suicide Awareness Training or any other training as deemed appropriate by the employer;
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in fundraising and/or corporate partnership development;
• Certificate in fundraising from a recognized post-secondary education institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience an asset;
• Demonstrated experience in managing and growing stakeholder relationships; Working knowledge of fundraising software platforms including Salesforce, Canada Helps, Donor Drive etc. preferred. Understanding of ethical behaviour and business practices, ensuring own behaviour and the behaviour of others are consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization.

• Speaks, listens and writes in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.

• Organization: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, and monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.
