Aviagen is currently looking for highly experienced Drivers. The drivers primarily responsibility will be to ensure exercising safe driving practices ensuring their safety and the safety of the public, responsible for operating commercial motor vehicle transporting in a safe and secure manner, responsible for compliance with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) safety rules and regulations; and all company policies; and local and federal policies, laws and regulations Job Description: Comply with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations Perform and document pre-trip inspection (i.e. tires, oil, fuel, lights, breaks, hoses, etc.) Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary Clean and wash truck as necessary Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor Comply with all MTO safety rules and regulations, all company policies, and local and federal policies, laws and regulations 0-3 plus years of Driving Experience required ~ Valid Class "AZ" license with 1-year verifiable satisfactory driving record ~ Knowledge of Ministry of Transportation, local and Federal Laws ~ High School Diploma or equivalent ~ Previous live poultry tractor trailer driving experience ~ Sit and drive for up to 10 hours, and climb in and out of truck cab throughout shift ~ Work around raw, live animal odors ~ Work nights, weekends, holidays and long shifts Aviagen offers medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and Long-Term Disability coverage, subject to the terms and conditions of Plan documents.
