Manufacturing Manager

We are a high-growth, fast-paced growing business that manufactures consumable medical devices used in research and bio-pharma. We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead the manufacturing organization driving and sustaining continuous improvement activities. You will be responsible for delivering significant immediate top-line revenue growth, while improving quality, improving delivery performance, and managing cost. You will also be responsible for building and executing a longer-term plan to match future capacity and organizational strength (people/process) with future demand needs.
Advocate / mentor and implement using Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Design for Manufacturability philosophies to support and sustain the manufacturing operation.
Develop & hire a world-class manufacturing team to support short and long-term business needs. Build on a culture of continuous improvement and EPIC Values.
Implement best practices for the production and testing of consumables.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including engineering, finance, HR, supply chain other company plants, customer service, and QA teams.
Build and execute short-term and long-term capacity plans for hiring and capital spending, including designing and installing automation where sensible.
Apply ISO9001 Quality Management System standards and requirements for release of biotech products.
Provide leadership to production personnel in process improvement and good manufacturing practices.
Lead production organization in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation.
Assure product and process quality, including post-customer delivery, by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; confirming manufacturing processes.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Analyze assembly/test procedures and methods for process quality improvement
Ensure efficient and accurate NPI transfers into production.
Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes for design and improvement by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with internal process engineering management.
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 10 years of experience managing manufacturing operations with direct experience managing resources in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering or quality engineering.
Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and demonstrated action-oriented, results-driven approach to quality. Commitment to improve manufacturing and quality metrics.
Track record of leading a continuous improvement culture.
Proven track record of successfully introducing new technologies into manufacturing.
Excellent project management, communication, and change management skills.
