The Manager of Demand & Supply Planning will require a close communication and collaboration with the executive team, sales, customer service, finance, production, engineering, purchasing, and marketing departments. This role will entail maintaining a Sales and Operations Plan (S&OP) with the leaders of the above-mentioned departments, translate the demand plan into a supply plan for critical input materials, and work with the Buyer/Schedulers to implement. The ideal candidate is experienced with MRP/ERP systems, has a sound knowledge of forecasting, planning and supply chain techniques and processes, and is analytical and inquisitive to drive continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesLead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the product lines of Powersmiths;Collect data from various sources (opportunities, sales forecasts, new product introductions, budgets, etc.) to create, document, and disseminate short and long-term demand plans to support business decisions by various departments;Effectively communicate changes to demand and supply to affected stakeholders and actively resolve misalignments;Track, report, and communicate on sales versus forecast versus budget to facilitate decision making;In conjunction with the Buyer/Schedulers, define the critical input materials and establish short term and long-term supply plans to achieve the production schedule and financial goals of the business;Proactive identification and resolution or escalation of key demand and supply risks;Integrate Powersmiths into the Socomec Group global demand planning tools and processes.Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend and implement changes to the demand and supply planning processes when appropriate;Maintain SOP documentation related to demand and supply planning;Work with internal stakeholders to develop and enhance reporting and analytical tools;Support the business with ad hoc reporting and projects as required;Other duties as assigned.Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and SkillsA minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional work experience in production planning, supply chain planning and/or demand planning;Holds a Supply Chain Management certification (e.g. ASCM (APICS) CSCP/CPIM, ISM CPSM, Supply Chain Canada SCMP);Advanced diploma or degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration a plus;Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a drive for problem solving;Strong collaborator who can engage and communicate effectively with multiple and diverse partners;Ability to engage and lead discussions in meetings/team settings;Ability to balance multiple high priority tasks and projects concurrently through highly developed organizational and decision-making skills;Solutions-focused;Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.Working Conditions:This role is located in an office environment with frequent visits to the manufacturing facilities.Compensation:Position is salaried;Powersmiths offers an interesting, innovative work environment, and a competitive group benefits package.​If you believe you have the necessary skills and experience for this job, please upload your résumé and apply through LinkedIn.Upon request, we will provide reasonable accommodation for disabilities to support participation of candidates in all aspects of the recruitment process.
