Position: Health and Safety Coordinator Location: Ottawa Salary: $60K to $80K Industry: Construction Our construction client in Ottawa is looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Coordinator to support safety programs and ensure compliance across multiple active sites. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about building a strong safety culture. Please note: Construction industry experience is non-negotiable. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with OHSA, WSIB, and MLITSD regulations. - Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and audits. - Support development and rollout of safety policies. - Deliver orientations and training (WHMIS, Working at Heights). - Investigate incidents and coordinate corrective actions. - Maintain emergency response plans and PPE inventory. - Collaborate with site teams and subcontractors. - Maintain accurate safety documentation.
