Job Title : Lead Software Engineer – Moveworks Experience Level : Mid to Senior (5–8 years) Location : Mississauga/Vancouver, Canada, EST hours About Moveworks: Moveworks is an AI-powered platform that automates employee support across IT, HR, Finance, and more. As a Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a team building scalable, intelligent systems that transform enterprise workflows. Key Responsibilities: Develop and support use cases in Moveworks AI Platform Lead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend systems. Architect microservices and distributed systems using modern cloud-native technologies. Collaborate with product managers, ML engineers, and designers to define technical roadmaps. Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers. Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management. Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across deployments. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Expertise in Python, Java, or Go. Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and gRPC. Experience leading agile teams and delivering enterprise-grade software. Preferred Skills: Exposure to AI/ML systems, especially NLP or LLM integration. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and DevOps practices. Knowledge of frontend technologies (React, TypeScript) is a plus. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Team Lead Skills Proven ability to lead and manage larger teams in different GEO regions. Should have a clear understanding and working experience in SDLC, CI/CD, Agile & Sprint programs. Ability to Co-ordination with Application and Platform teams, Hyper-Care support, Performance optimization, Unit Test & Integration test support Mentor and support other colleagues and L2 team for L3 Technical delivery Managing services SLAs like availability (proactive monitoring) and incident resolutions as per SLAs Strong client-facing role at the customer location or remotely.
