The Role We are hiring Senior Consultants to join our delivery team. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to client finance teams, designing and optimizing Vena-based planning, forecasting and reporting solutions with a focus on banking and financial services. You will work closely with senior finance leaders to bring clarity, control, and speed to their planning, reporting, and regulatory processes. This is a remote role open to candidates across Canada. Key Responsibilities Lead or support Vena implementations for banking and financial services clients. Partner with FP&A and ALM teams to define requirements for budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, financial reporting and regulatory reporting. Build and refine Vena models, templates, workflows, data structures and reporting packages tailored to financial institutions. Translate financial, regulatory and instrument-level modeling needs into optimized Vena configurations, automated workflows and scalable data models. Integrate Vena with core banking platforms, ERPs and data sources (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry) using SQL, Python and related tools. Coach and train client teams on Vena best practices, design standards and governance. What We Are Looking For Experience and Domain Knowledge 3–7+ years in FP&A ideally in financial-services firm, or consulting environment. Expertise in three-statement modeling tailored to banking balance-sheet dynamics (net interest margin, loan and deposit growth, funding, FTP). Familiarity with Regulatory Reporting, Instrument Level Modeling, and Risk Modeling concepts is a strong asset. Education and Credentials Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a technical degree (Engineering or Computer Science) with strong finance aptitude. CFA, FRM, CPA, or MBA preferred but not required. Technical Skills Knowledge of SQL and Python (Pandas, APIs, Jupyter) for data querying, transformation, prototyping, and automation. Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, Power Query). Hands-on experience with Vena strongly preferred; experience with other FP&A or planning platforms (Anaplan, Planful, Adaptive) is an asset. Power BI is a strong asset. Professional Qualities Skilled at translating complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for finance and non-finance audiences. Comfortable engaging with CFOs, Controllers, and senior finance teams . Excellent facilitation skills, clear written communication, and strong client-facing presence.
