Role and Objectives: As a key member of the IT Delivery & Operations Team, the Senior IT Technician is responsible for deploying, administering, and supporting an extensive range of IT infrastructure across both corporate offices and manufacturing environments. This includes enterprise computing systems, virtualization platforms, secure networking solutions, firewalls, industrial IT/OT technologies, IoT devices, video surveillance systems, and access control infrastructure. This role calls for advanced technical expertise, keen attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on mindset. The ideal candidate is dependable, precise, and committed to delivering consistent, high-performance support across both enterprise and industrial environments. Responsibilities: Systems & Infrastructure Management Lead or participate in IT infrastructure upgrades, system rollouts, and strategic IT initiatives. Configure, deploy, and manage Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware), and core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Maintain server integrity through scheduled updates, patching, and performance tuning. Manage backup solutions, storage systems, and disaster recovery readiness. Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, access points), optimizing performance and uptime. Ensure performance, security and privacy of computer/network infrastructure equipment & systems, collaborating with Cybersecurity Team. Monitor security alerts and assist with incident response. Provide IT support for industrial manufacturing IT/OT systems & infrastructure, IoT platforms, surveillance systems, and facility access solutions. End-User Support & Service Delivery Deliver advanced support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices in both office and production settings. Support lifecycle processes for onboarding/offboarding and user request management. Deliver user training with a focus on approachable, customer-centric communication. Documentation, Process Improvement & Administration Document configurations, procedures, and technical resolutions clearly and consistently. Proactively seek and implement automation and operational improvements. Manage IT equipment lifecycle, inventory and replenishment. Liaise with service providers, vendors, and contractors. Participate in after-hours support on-call rotations as required. Requirements: Education: Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent education & experience). Certification as IT Technician. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, or similar certification, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience required. Experience: 5+ years in IT technology support at Tier 2 or 3 Level, ideally enterprise environment. Additional experience with industrial manufacturing IT/OT systems & infrastructure, IoT infrastructure, industrial video monitoring, and facility security technologies. Skills and Knowledge: Expertise in Windows Server & virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Desktop support in Windows environments (imaging/hardware/software troubleshooting). Networking infrastructure and protocols (routers, switches, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, wireless technologies). Cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection. Microsoft 365 and cloud-based productivity tools. IT service management platforms, including ticketing systems, remote support tools, and asset tracking solutions. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Self-motivated and effective in both independent and team environments. Liaise with service providers, vendors, and contractors. Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable access to a personal vehicle for inter-site travel (eligible for mileage reimbursement). Participate in after-hours support on-call rotations as required. Must be legally eligible to work in the region. On-site role. Working Conditions: Combination of desk-based tasks and on-site support across office and manufacturing environments; requiring adaptability and attention to safety. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required when entering designated facility areas. (e.g. hard hat, safety boots, high-visibility vest, and eye/ear protection). Occasional exposure to high noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and industrial hazards. May involve working at heights using ladders or lifts with appropriate safety gear. Capable of handling small components, tools, or equipment with accuracy and precision, as well as the ability to concentrate on screen-based tasks for extended durations. Ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs and operate hand tools as needed.
