Our 99,600 employees operate a network of 2,600 offices and laboratories, working together to enable a better, safer and more interconnected world.Job DescriptionOur client, a senior crude oil and natural gas production company, with continuing operations in its core areas located in Western Canada, the U.K. portion of the North Sea and Offshore Africa, is currently looking to hire Mechanical Inspectors in Vancouver, BC.The Mechanical Inspectors will be assigned to a variety of projects and will be required to do QA inspections during the fabrication of different equipment at vendor shops based on the inspection and test plan provided by the client. The Mechanical Inspectors will ensure the quality and compliance of the mechanical systems as per the scope of the project.The scope of inspection includes but not limited to visual welding inspection, dimensional inspection, test witness, documentation review and issuing surveillance report and NCR (if applicable).The Mechanical Inspectors will be set up as contractors and be contacted when work is available.QualificationsMinimum certifications required: CWB Level II & API 510Minimum of 5 years of experience with inspection work.The ideal candidates will have inspection experience in the Oil & Gas industry and with Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Piping Spools, Pipes and Valves.Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.Candidates must be proficient in using several types of computer software (Word, Excel.
