We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manager of Corporate Accounting to oversee accounting operations within the real estate sector. The successful candidate will manage financial reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and drive process improvements. This role requires a strong background in corporate accounting, excellent leadership abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Oversee and support a team of corporate accountants, providing guidance and periodic evaluations.Manage the consolidation and elimination process monthly, including reviewing related reports and handling reforecasts and budgets.Ensure timely and accurate completion of all reports by reviewing the work of direct reports.Review corporate expenses, revenues, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.Review various fee billings as needed.Conduct and review quarterly G&A variance analysis and other related schedules.Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for corporate business units.Assist with internal and external reporting, coordinating with auditors as necessary.Proactively drive process improvement initiatives.Facilitate cross-training for key tasks and processes.Collaborate with other departments on accounting matters and address transactional accounting queries.Undertake other duties and projects as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.Have at least 1+ years of managerial experience, and people management, with prior change management experience preferably within the real estate industry.Preferably have experience in mid to large-sized audit firms.Knowledge and experience with consolidation and equity-accounted investment accounting are necessary.Experience with joint venture accounting in the real estate sector.Demonstrate excellent analytical and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills.Familiarity with Yardi Voyager and Hyperion is advantageous.
