Legal Administrative Assistant- Litigation

Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a law firm located in Toronto, ON. We are looking to hire a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team on a contract basis of 3 months, which has the possibility of extension. This candidate will be working from their Downtown Toronto Office on a full time basis.

Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of legal documents.
Manage and organize legal files, documents, and correspondence.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information as needed.
Maintain and update client databases and case management systems.
Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail.
Prepare and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
Assist with billing and invoicing processes.
Perform general administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous experience as a legal administrative assistant or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software.
