The incumbent will be responsible for managing multiple development projects, from inception to completion, from seeking project opportunities through to completed development of projects The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and confident leading complex planning files. Please include a project list with your application outlining the projects you have worked on, the scope and value of each project.This position is based in Vaughan, On.Key Responsibilities:• Manage planning approvals including OPA, ZBA, Site Plan, Draft Plan of Condominium, Committee of Adjustment, and related applications.• Lead the full entitlement process including pre-consultations, preparing submissions, coordinating comments, negotiating conditions, and clearing conditions.• Review planning, engineering, environmental, legal, and financial documents to identify risks and opportunities.• Coordinate consultant teams and oversee preparation of reports, drawings, plans, and required studies.• Represent the company in meetings with municipal staff, agencies, councillors, and community stakeholders.• Prepare internal reports, summaries, meeting notes, and status updates.• Collaborate with internal teams including construction, finance, legal, and marketing.• Assist with RFP preparation and evaluation.• Review technical drawings and engineering submissions.• Manage Letters of Credit and development securities.• Conduct site visits and provide planning insight for servicing, grading, and design.• Monitor planning policy changes and their impacts.• Maintain project schedules and escalate issues as needed.Qualifications:• Degree in Urban Planning, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.• 5–7+ years of progressive planning or development experience.• Experience in both low-rise and high-rise development required.• Strong understanding of Ontario planning processes and municipal approvals.• Proven ability to secure approvals for projects valued $50M–$300M+.• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.• Ability to review technical and planning documents.• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.• Proficiency in MS Office; MS Project and SharePoint are assets.• Valid G-class driver’s license and access to a vehicle.Cortel Group is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
