Position Title : Digitization Project Manager – Property Management System


Position Summary:

The Digitization Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and management of the digital transformation of Del Property Management’s systems. This role will lead a cross-functional team to assess, select, implement, and integrate digital tools and platforms designed to improve accounting and operations, reporting, and service delivery to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, experience with property accounting systems such as Yardi Voyageur 7S, and a proven ability to lead digital transformation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Strategy (20%)

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the digitization project, including defining project scope, goals, objectives, and key milestones.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Establish and implement project management governance and control processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring effective delivery and resource management.

Stakeholder Management (15%)

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments (senior management, finance, IT, operations) to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure smooth communication.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for project-related inquiries and updates, ensuring stakeholder needs are addressed.
  • Offer centralized support for planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and issue resolution, ensuring project alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports on project status for senior leadership, escalating issues and concerns when necessary.

Technology & Vendor Management (20%)

  • Evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors or software solutions for accounting and operations automation, financial reporting, and client communication tools.
  • Oversee the integration of new modules (e.g., Yardi Procure to Pay) with existing infrastructure (e.g., Yardi Voyageur 7S ERP system, Dayforce).
  • Ensure technology solutions meet business requirements, budget constraints, and compliance standards, and work to mitigate any risks during the implementation process.

Process Re-engineering & Change Management (15%)

  • Map and analyze current accounting and operations workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, automation, and increased efficiency.
  • Develop new processes and systems that enhance operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and reporting accuracy.
  • Lead the migration of historical data (paper and electronic) to new systems, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption during the transition.
  • Manage the change management process to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes across the organization.
  • Communicate changes effectively to staff and clients, addressing concerns and ensuring a smooth transition.

Training & Support (10%)

  • Develop training materials and conduct sessions to ensure internal teams are equipped to use new digital systems effectively.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for user’s post-implementation, ensuring successful system adoption and operation.

Risk & Quality Management (10%)

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact the project timeline, scope, or quality of deliverables.
  • Ensure the project follows established quality assurance protocols, and monitor progress to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Document all project activities, including project plans, meeting notes, training guides, and reports, ensuring accessibility and thorough record-keeping.

Strategy Implementation & Reporting (10%)

  • Lead the creation of business cases, project approval requests, and presentations to leadership and the Steering Committee.
  • Monitor progress against work plans, milestones, and deliverables, reporting regularly to ensure successful completion of the project.
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and present actionable insights to leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, Finance, or a related field. PMP, CAPM, or other project management certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2-3 years focused on digitization or IT transformation projects. Experience in property management, real estate, and accounting systems is highly preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and property management workflows.
  • Skills & Abilities: Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception through completion, balancing multiple priorities and timelines. Strong understanding of digital accounting tools and automation (e.g., ERP systems, accounting software (Yardi Voyageur 7S), cloud platforms). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
