Have you built, trained, and lead sales teams in the technology staffing industry?
We're looking for a Sales Manager to lead an existing team selling IT staffing services within a national workforce solutions firm.
This is a brand-new sales leadership role: the team currently report to the VP of Sales but we're looking for a dedicated sales manager to help them build on their success. Your core focus will be sales training & coaching and building out the systems and processes to enable further growth. You won't carry a personal quota but you'll need to be comfortable getting involved to help your team close complex deals and hit targets.
My client is a national workforce solutions firm who deliver temporary, permanent, and managed professional staffing services to businesses across the country. As the head of the technology staffing sales team, you'll work with the sales leadership team to craft and execute a long-term strategy to maximize technology staffing revenue. You'll be able to collaborate with other teams to cross-sell, increase account penetration, and offer full-service staffing solutions to prospective clients.
The team's success will be your success. You'll need to be open to working with and through the team rather than focusing on your personal production: we're looking for a leader to drive the team's long-term success. You'll earn bonuses based on your team's performance so you'll be free to focus on managing your team rather than managing a book of business.
You'll need at least a few years of sales experience within the IT staffing industry. It'd be helpful if you've sold IT staffing services within a firm that sells other professional staffing services but it's not strictly necessary as long as you've got a good foundation in the industry as a whole. You should be very comfortable executing complex sales processes including bids & proposals, C-suite stakeholder negotiations, and selling complex staffing solutions.
Previous sales leadership experience in the staffing industry is important, too. That includes reporting & analysis, performance management, and career development as well as day-to-day work management and coaching. Previous experience improving or implementing structured sales processes and methodologies would be a big help as the team continues to grow.
This is an unusual opportunity to take over a productive team with bright prospects from day one, especially if you're a sales team lead or maybe a billing manager looking to step out of quota-carrying production and into a pure sales management role.
My client is offering a base salary (~$150,000) plus management bonus plan as well as a comprehensive benefits and perks package. This is a hybrid role based in downtown Toronto or Mississauga offices a few days a week so you'll need to be local to the Greater Toronto Area.
