Title: Market Data Administrator - Junior

Location: Montreal

The Opportunity :

The Market Data Administrator – Junior (MDA) oversees the accuracy of financial instrument data in the Referential Database (CARD). Responsibilities include daily data checks for bonds, rates and equities, creating new instruments for trading, and providing trading support for bonds. Additionally, the MDA participates in project management as a functional expert. Challenges include the critical nature of the data for different connected systems and managing the complexity of different bond setup applications.


What you will do:

- Daily management of Market Data: creation of new instruments (bonds, equitites, rates) and control

on existing stock including management of event/corporate actions

- Improvement of the Market Data processing within the Bank: continuous improvement, identity and

tackle pain points within the chain

- Participation to the local projects involving the team

- Direct contact with demanding internal clients such as trading and sales forces


Qualifications:

-Ability to work with a small team while multi-tasking and carrying a good sense of prioritization

- Ability to work under time pressure

- Good knowledge of MS office package especially in Excel

- Good communication skill in English

- Self-motivated and excellent team player

- Strives to deliver the solution in the most effective and timely manner

- Basic knowledge of Bloomberg and Refinitiv (ex Reuters)


Education skills required:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking or equivalent fields.

- 1 year minimum of previous experience in a Capital Market Middle Office or Back Office

- Knowledge of the capital market financial products and activities

- Knowledge of the banking Front to Back processing and challenges

- Knowledge the legal and regulatory framework applicable in the banking sector

- English (mandatory), French is highly desired

L'opportunité :

L'Administrateur des données de marché - Junior (MDA) supervise l'exactitude des données des instruments financiers dans la base de données référentielle (CARD). Les responsabilités incluent les vérifications quotidiennes des données pour les obligations, les taux et les actions, la création de nouveaux instruments pour le trading et le soutien au trading pour les obligations. De plus, le MDA participe à la gestion de projets en tant qu'expert fonctionnel. Les défis incluent la nature critique des données pour différents systèmes connectés et la gestion de la complexité des différentes applications de configuration d'obligations.

Ce que vous ferez :

  • Gestion quotidienne des données de marché : création de nouveaux instruments (obligations, actions, taux) et contrôle du stock existant, y compris la gestion des événements/actions corporatives.
  • Amélioration du traitement des données de marché au sein de la banque : amélioration continue, identification et résolution des points de blocage au sein de la chaîne.
  • Participation aux projets locaux impliquant l'équipe.
  • Contact direct avec des clients internes exigeants tels que les forces de vente et de trading.


Qualifications :

  • Capacité à travailler avec une petite équipe tout en jonglant avec plusieurs tâches et en ayant un bon sens des priorités.
  • Capacité à travailler sous pression.
  • Bonne connaissance du package MS Office, notamment Excel.
  • Bonne compétence en communication en anglais.

Compétences éducatives requises :

  • Licence ou Master en Finance, Banque ou domaines équivalents.
  • Minimum de 1 an d'expérience précédente dans un Middle Office ou Back Office de marché des capitaux.
  • Connaissance des produits financiers du marché des capitaux et des activités.
  • Connaissance du traitement Front to Back bancaire et des défis.
  • Connaissance du cadre légal et réglementaire applicable dans le secteur bancaire.
  • Anglais (obligatoire), le français est fortement souhaité.
