We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team and support a variety of core Finance functions.This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented, proactive individual eager to develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in preparing accurate and timely monthly variable compensation calculations and payments for external advisorsMaintain documentation around advisor compensation processesInvestigate and resolve any commission-related issues or disputesDetect errors, omissions and inconsistencies in dataSupport development of business metrics and KPI’sResponsible for preparing journal entries and accruals ensuring accurate month end financial reportingPrepare monthly account reconciliations, identify anomalies, investigate and resolve discrepanciesPrepare and analyze monthly and annual financial resultsSupport external audits with required documentationCollaborate with team members within Finance and other business unitsContribute to process improvements and automation initiatives, continually challenging the status quoQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field2-5 years work experience, preferably in a financial/insurance environmentProficient in Excel, experience in Power BI an assetStrong analytical and inquiry skills to understand operational processes and constraintsHighly organized, detail oriented, proactive, and ability to multitaskAbility to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships within Finance and across the organizationCPA designation (or working towards it) is an assetNavacord, and all our Broker Partners are actively committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
