REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION:

Bachelor or Master's of engineering degree from accredited university


QUALIFICATION :

Proficiency in programming languages such as DSL, C#. Solid understanding of software development methodologies in DevOps.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/Areas of Accountability:


  • Lead, manage and develop the team, which includes but is not limited to coaching, mentoring and cross-training.
  • Oversee the design, development, and release of software controls for new Husky machine platforms as well as critical service and customer support requests.
  • Ensure the team is effective in delivering new products that meet the requirements defined by the businesses as essential for success - aligned with product definition and the Husky Operating model.
  • Planning and scheduling design activities to ensure committed completion dates are met as per business needs.
  • Enforcement of Product Development Process, Design Documents and Risk Mitigation as well as applicable directives and standards our machines must comply with.
  • Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Influence and establish engineering standards through solid design decisions, processes and tools.
  • Work on process creation, work scheduling, code/architecture oversight, mentoring, team-building, and organizational communication.
  • Encourage team member to think, organize and lead while providing them with developmental and career growth opportunities.
  • Lead effective cross-disciplinary collaboration between various stakeholders and teams.
  • Interviewing and hiring of new team members.


CRITICAL CAPABILITIES

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of Husky products, tools, standards, processes and technology and software development cycle.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment.
  • System level thinking at both a product and enterprise level.
  • Proficiency with production Engineering tools, processes, technologies and design application systems.
  • Relationship building.
  • Demonstrates high degree of flexibility and embraces changing priorities.



EXPERIENCE

10+ years relevant engineering experience.

Proven leadership experience.

Previous engineering experience in heavy machinery or injection molding industry.
