This is for someone who can architect systems, grow talent, and roll up their sleeves when it’s time to build.OverviewWe’re recruiting a VP - Performance, Coaching, & Talent Development to design and operationalize the people architecture that powers Anime Universe. You’ll drive our approach to values-based leadership, contributor growth, succession planning, and high-potential acceleration. You’ll also coach founders, creatives, and emerging leaders — supporting their evolution through deep partnership and thoughtful design.You’ll report to the Chief People & Culture Officer, serving as a strategic and hands-on leader across teams, subsidiaries, and time zones.What You’ll OwnCulture, Leadership & CoachingCodify and activate AU’s Cultural OS (Fun+, Honor+, Ownership+, Respect+) as lived behaviorsCoach founders, leaders, and high-potential contributors — 1:1 and in small groupsFacilitate leadership retros, async feedback cycles, and personal growth conversationsLead rituals, storytelling, and cultural activations that scale values across a distributed teamTalent Development & Succession GrowthDesign contributor-to-cofounder progression systems with equity milestonesImplement development planning, HiPo acceleration, and company-wide succession mappingBuild leveling systems, performance reflection rituals, and role evolution frameworksEnsure that talent growth is deeply connected to AU’s mission, strategy, and ownership modelTeam Context & CollaborationYou’ll work within a global network of executives, leaders, peers, and equity partners — including but not limited to scribes, creative leads, product architects, and HR collaborators across Anime Universe’s ecosystem. You’ll also lead and build a team as the scope and complexity of the role scales.This is not a purely strategic or advisory role — it’s for a doer.
