PureChem Services, the production chemical division of CES Energy Solutions, is looking for an individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician. This full-time position is located in Hinton, Alberta, and reports directly to the District Manager. This position also has the opportunity to progress into an Account Manager role in the future.


Main duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support local account managers in deploying solutions to customer challenges.
  • Product inventory and delivery management.
  • Field sampling of customer production for laboratory analysis.
  • Preparing monthly customer reports and interfacing with customers to discuss programs and account issues.
  • Provide technical services and support to existing customers with the assistance of the technical support group.
  • Additional tasks as needed.


Fundamental requirements:

  • Class 5 drivers license with a clean abstract.
  • Able to handle physical demands of field delivery of product in varied weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment while also being able to operate autonomously/independently when required.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and respect for deadlines.
  • Working familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with oil and gas upstream and midstream operations.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time.


Preferred requirements:

  • Experience with industrial chemistry and analysis procedures.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience with asset integrity for oil and gas operations.


The successful candidate will be provided with all required training and certifications including WHMIS, TDG, H2S Alive, and First Aid, as well as access to to internal and external training platforms for asynchronous technical and non-technical subjects.
