The Role

The Yardi Residential Support Specialist will manage, troubleshoot, and improve the Yardi software for residential properties as part of our Yardi Help Desk Team. Acting as the main contact for Yardi-related questions, the ideal candidate will handle software configurations, data management, and user training to ensure smooth system use.

In this position you will work in cooperation with Lynx leadership, their project management team and external parties such as Yardi to deliver the full life cycle of our client engagements. This may include scoping meetings, as well as post-implementation support.


Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Yardi Voyager and related residential modules, responding to help desk queries and tracking progress in the support ticketing system.
  • Maintain customer service standards and best practices for support processes, ensuring timely responses and clear communication with users.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the Yardi platform to increase operational efficiency.
  • Conduct training sessions and create user-friendly guides and quick reference materials to support staff in effectively navigating Yardi software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external support (e.g., Yardi) to address escalated issues, manage system upgrades, and enhance platform functionalities.
  • Ensure data integrity by performing regular audits, correcting errors, and updating system information as needed.
  • Generate and analyze regular and ad hoc reports to assist in business decision-making and to support property management operations.
  • Record all billable and non-billable time in the time management system, adhering to accurate and detailed time-tracking practices.
  • Participate in project meetings as needed to support Yardi system-related requirements, from scoping to post-implementation support.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience supporting Yardi software within residential property management.
  • Proven ability to deliver effective technical support and troubleshoot Yardi software in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Yardi Voyager, including residential modules such as RentCafe, Resident Screening, Maintenance, and Inspections, along with a comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with other residential functionalities.
  • Experience with Yardi system setup and configuration, including PayScan and other core Voyager functionalities.
  • Strong understanding of Yardi-related tools for residential property management and reporting, including the ability to generate complex custom reports within the Yardi system.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues and maintain data integrity across Yardi systems.
  • Experience with software integrations, such as payment gateways and third-party services, within the Yardi environment.
  • Ability to provide technical support and training to internal users on Yardi residential modules and related systems.
  • Familiarity with system upgrades and patches for Yardi Voyager and residential modules.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and analytical thinking. Effective communicator with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Team-oriented and collaborative, with a proactive approach to customer service.
  • Additional Qualifications: Fluency in French is an asset.
