They are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead their Human Resources function and support a diverse workforce across operations, trades, and management.About the RoleThe HR Manager will oversee all day-to-day HR activities, working closely with operations leadership to support a high-performance, safety-driven culture. This is an on-site position requiring a hands-on leader who is comfortable in a manufacturing environment and enjoys partnering directly with supervisors, employees, and senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead full HR operations including employee relations, performance management, investigations, onboarding, and policy development.Partner with operations leaders to support labour planning, training, retention, and workforce development.Provide guidance on HR best practices and ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and safety standards.Support recruitment needs across trades, production, maintenance, and leadership roles; oversee effective onboarding practices.Manage benefits, attendance, return-to-work programs, and accommodation processes.Support change management initiatives, culture programs, and employee engagement activities across multiple facilities.Develop and maintain HR metrics and reporting to support strategic decision-making.Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing coaching in conflict resolution, performance conversations, and leadership development.Qualifications5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in manufacturing, forestry, industrial, or unionized environments.Experience supporting high-volume operations and working closely with frontline and site leadership.Strong understanding of employment legislation and workplace best practices in BC.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust at all levels.Demonstrated experience handling investigations, employee relations issues, and performance management.Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced setting.CPHR designation or progress toward one is an asset.Why This Opportunity?Join a respected and proudly BC-based company with over 75 years of industry presence.Work with a leadership team that values continuous improvement and employee development.Opportunity to shape HR programs, enhance processes, and directly impact workforce culture.Stable, long-term role with strong compensation, benefits, and career growth potential.
